Every year the company I work for, Brownstein Group, designs the logo and illustration for the City of Philadelphia’s Mural Arts Program. This year I had the pleasure of being the designer chosen who, along with my friend and the copywriter Andrew Panebianco, came up with this concept celebrating the 30th anniversary of Mural Arts and the 10th anniversary of the Wall Ball gala.
The concept and execution explored Mural Arts’ humble beginning as an anti-graffiti organization, swiftly morphing into a celebrated arts education, empowerment and community outreach program. With over 3,600 murals created over 30 years and 1,800 youths served by the program annually it was a true honor to be a part of such an important year.
